This is a good idea but frankly should be included with the splitter as std. (just add it onto the price). A couple of issues - lifting the splitter on is a 2-man job and once there you struggle to move it. The table need a couple of wheels on one end so it can be wheeled into position. Second issue is that whilst it's a massive improvement not having to operate the splitter on the floor, the table is still a bit low - could do with being 10cms higher. Maybe if I fit wheels to the table it will raise the height.

Dual Logmaster Log Splitter | This is an excellent piece of kit. I have used a splitting axe for 20 yrs but it never does my neck much good, and we had loads of logs to sort. The dual action on this really makes a difference. We split 8cu m of logs in just over a day. It doesn't seem that quick but it works every time and splits logs you'd really struggle with manually so you get high throughput. The rating is 8in dia logs, but we split 18inch oak trunk down easily. It's also very good for splitting kindling. Well made, but the splitter table is a must. | |
Clifford James | The item ordered ( a log splitter) arrived quickly, but on opening I discovered it was damaged in transit. CJ immediately dispatched a replacement and then arrranged for the old one to be collected. It wasn't their fault it was damaged, but they acted quickly to resolve the situation. And they were there to do this on a Saturday. |
