The only minor comment is that the external corner battens did not completely seal the corner allowing some damp penetration. This has been easily rectified by running a mastic seal down the joints. This has not spoilt my satisfaction with the building.
Service rating : In the lead up to placing the order all seemed fine. Manufacture, delivery and erection is then handled by another company, Tubstall Garden Buildings. I had asked 1st Choice Leisure Buildings for a very slightly reduced (by 5inches) ridge height in order not to run into planning problems. I had been advised the eaves height would be 6ft. 3 ins. I also asked for the window head height to be as high as possible because as advised to the company I am 6ft 3ins tall. When delivery and erection took place there were two tie beams supporting the two roof trusses. The soffite of these tie beams were installed at 6ft 0ins. I subsequently wrote to 1st Choice Leisure Buildings to advise them that I had had, following discussion with the erectors, to alter these two tie beams, adding in two steel angles with appropriate fixings. 1st Choice Leisure Buildings referred the matter to Tunstall Garden Buidlings. I received, after several days, a phone call from Tunstalls, and discussed the matter with them. I advised them that nobody, prior to erection had informed me about the 6ft height of the tie beams and that it had cost me £65 to put the matter right. I was told the matter would be discussed at Tunstalls and I would be contacted again. That was several weeks ago, and to this day I have not been contacted by either Tunstalls or 1st Choice................... ........................ ...draw your own conclusions.Product rating : Too early to tell. I wait to be convinced that the guarantee will hold up if it becomes necessary. The head height problem caused me time and money, which nobody from either Tunstalls nor 1st Choice Leisure Buidlings has been prepared to address. Profit is everything I guess.
