When you join FEEFO, if you are a small business you can register simply by filling in our registration form. However, if you have a larger business, you may wish to categorize your feedback
The purpose of categorization is to allow you and your customers to see feedback at a level that makes sense. For instance, if you sell two ranges of cars, you might wish to categorize feedback according to the car manufacturer, or according to the car class.
You can easily filter out feedback for individual products by sorting feedback by description.
You can download all feedback, together with your own item reference, which may be as detailed as you want. You than then use simple analysis tools (such as Excel) to analyse in any way you want.
We call the individual categories 'divisions'. 'Divisions' are hierarchical, and are represented by a structure very similar to a computer directory structure, without blank spaces:
e.g.
www.examplesupplier.com
www.examplesupplier.com/Electricals
www.examplesupplier.com/Electricals/Phones
www.examplesupplier.com/Computers_&_Software
It is a good idea to follow the major existing categories of your business. You can add or amend category names later, but it becomes more difficult as time passes.
These names are used as 'logons'. This means that every time you send us information about a sale, you must include the name of the 'division' associated with the sale. The names are not seen by customers, so it is a good idea to choose names that are easily available to you at the time of sending the sale confirmation (which is when you would usually be forwarding the details to Feefo).
You can introduce 'divisions' on the fly - that is to say that if you send us details of a sale with a new division mentioned, we shall create it for you instantly. Divisions inherit their characteristics from the next level up, unless you tell us otherwise, so most features about a division can be assumed to follow from the parent of that division. However there are some details that we would usually expect to be individual to a 'division'
At the top of the feedback page on Feefo, the following information appears:
(example values taken from www.examplesupplier.com/Computers_&_Software
| Division Name | If you do not give us this, we'll use the name from the logon | Computers & Software |
| Division logo/image | A logo or image associated with the division. Max size approx 180 * 250 pixels | http://www.examplesupplier.com/images/22818385[1].jpg |
| Division description | A description of up to about 100 words | We sell a wide range of PCs, laptops, and palm held computers at competitive prices as well as software from all the major manufacturers |
| Website Forwarding | A link to the correct page of your website | |
| Business Category | The category from our list of business categories (which you can download from here) | 72160 |
| Feefo Logo | The Feefo logo that you want to appear on your own pages. See the range on our registration page | logo3.gif |
You can enter each division individually as a new Feefo client, but it is easier to upload many divisions, using a vendor details file, which must be presented as a tab separated file (easiest to create using Microsoft Excel). You can download a sample file here. You need only delete the sample data and replace it with your own data.
You will most likely want to leave all the columns blank, except for the details above. However you can fill in any further information you wish.
There are instructions incorporated into the file.
You will also need a copy of our business category file, which you can also download from here.
You upload the file by logging in (in the Supplier Area) and choosing the 'Update supplier details' menu option. You will be given a chance to see how FEEFO understands your file before saving it away.
New categories can also be created 'ad hoc' the automatic sale notification (see here )
