|When we purchased our voucher it stated that we would have a choice of 2 courses from the restaurants alcarte menu but on arrival we were given menus that were especially for Travelzoo customers as it clearly stated this on the top. The menu was limited and bore no relation to the menus on their website and quite hefty subsidies were put on the meat and scallop dishes which really outweighed their worth. We were starting to feel that we would have been better off coming as an ordinary customer and choosing from their proper alacarte menu. this is really something that Travelzoo should investigate because 1) we were not getting what we believed we would get and that the chef had been asked to prefer cheaper options for us. The quality and cooking of the food was excellent, but sadly not the experience or good deal we travelled 30 miles for! The feeling we got on seeing the menu especially for Travelzoo customers really made us feel like second class customers. The service was friendly and professional.|
