Service rating : The big downfall here is how much packaging the White Company are wasting. It really disappointed me. When I bought the matching lid for the blanc candle, it came (twice as it is faulty) both times in this HUGE box with lots of plastic airtrap padding. When the box with the lid in was so small! Such a waste. It also meant I had to have it delivered to collect+ instead as it won’t fit through the letterbox. So I’ve been back and forth to collect+location and neither of the lids fit the candle. Good effort from the White Company team but actually not very pleased with this service.Product: I have also bought the lid for this, for which I have now revived 2 and neither of them fit properly. This is still ongoing so unsure whether this is a fault in the lid or candle.
Service rating : I ordered several of these as gifts for friends. As I live in France, I order a lot on line and, from time to time things do go wrong. I became aware that one of the orders had not been received and I could see in my orders account that something seemed to have gone awry. I contacted customer services who checked it and, as thought, one order had gone into some kind of loop. The lady immediately deleted the order, placed another order at a discount and delivered the item for free. Truly excellent service!!Product: All 4 friends thought this product was beautiful and the fragrance has been long lasting. Would definitely recommend it.
Service rating : I returned a product in-store where staff were very helpful. I was disappointed to discover that, having ordered online, I had to pay postage to return a product and, as I wished to re-order another size, would have had to pay postage on that too. I have given a "good" rating because of the helpful staff instore but have been put off by the cost of postage and returns and this will deter me from ordering with The White Company in the future.Product: The dress is a smart, semi-fitted style. My normal size, 10, was too large, so it may be advisable to size down. The fabric was not of such high quality as I would have expected. I returned the product in-store where staff were very helpful but unfortunately the next size down had sold out so I was given a refund.
Service rating : As extra large all sold out on website, assumed they came up small so ordered a large, it was huge! Had to exchange at only branch that had a medium in stock (still big but just right for snuggling in winter) which was Marylebone. Anna (namesake) assistant was brilliant, no qualms, quick exchanged, went browsing and love the bed linen so a discount code? Lol, don't ask, don't get!Product: A post Christmas treat to myself, lovely quality and rich colour.
Service rating : White Company needs to become more responsible on environmental issues. The slippers came in a huge box stuffed with lots of plastic packaging. Not necessary, the slippers would had been adequately packaged in a padded envelope. Plus size of packaging makes returns cost prohibitive. It would have cost £11 to turn them. Only cost approx. £15 in SALE.Product: Bought lots of these over the past few years in numerous colours. They also just pop in the washing machine.
Service rating : My first order went missing and it's not the first time I had a problem with ordering and service. Products are amazing and I am very happy with the quality of the products.but aftersale asks for improvement. Also, on one occasion I had a technical problem with placing an order, system didn't recognise my account or email which account was associated with.Product: Lovely mat, perfect size.
Service rating : However I am unhappy regarding the amount of plastic packaging used especially now we are aware of the impact on the environment.
I love the White Companies products and will try to buy from shops, however sometimes it is not practical so would like to know they are doing something regarding the excessive use of plastics in their packagingProduct: I bought some items in the sale so am extremely happy with the delivery service and the quality of products are exceptional.
Service rating : Quick response - great though I was not able to amend the delivery instructions even though I telephoned straight away. This meant that the parcel was left outside the house in the rain because we were out. My late tel. rqst was for it to be delivered to a neighbour. The parcel could have been stolen as it was left out in the open.Product: One of the seams on the pillow cases is curved as it has been sewn unevenly. I only noticed this after washing and then ironing it - this is on all of the pillow cases.
Service rating : Your staff were uniformly helpful and efficient but carrier Hermes three times claimed to have called but did not. Eventually you sent a replacement by another carrier and on the same day Hermes sent a different driver who found the house easily. You then generously told me to keep both! So good in the end.Product: Looks very good and we have had no problems with your products in the past. Almost a second topper.
Service rating : The dispatch of the product was excellent and delivered with no problems at all. I didn't realise when ordering that the pillowcase was not a twin pack, I just assumed that it was. I spoke to a customer service representative who was fabulous and organised another pillowcase to be sent out to me.Product: I love the sateen bedlinen as it feels soft against the skin whilst still feeling fresh. The pillowcase was easy to iron too.

Service rating : The Winter Pillar Candle I purchased before Christmas leaked was over the dining table so I sent an email to let them know as I thought it was a fault due to the wax coming through the fruit. I did not expect a replacement but The White Company sent one which was amazing. They emailed me an apology which was lovely.Product: I'm yet to light my new candle so not sure how to rate it. If I were to rate the first candle then I would rate it poor.
Service rating : Excellent service but the amount of packaging was completely over the top! The two duvet sets and soft toy arrived in a box triple the size needed, marked fragile, and surrounded by copious amounts of bubble wrap. Entirely unnecessary. Other than that, no complaints.Product: Lovely, good quality.
Service rating : Fast and efficient although the packaging was ridiculously over the top. Other companies send products in padded bags. To have a huge box with inflated plastic pockets and two layers of plastic wrap was disappointing given that we are aiming to sustain our planet.Product: Very good quality
Service rating : Excellent! By mistake I ordered ordered single sized duvet covers instead of double. I changed the order next day by telephone without a problem. I was helped by an efficient, kind and polite assistant, nothing seemed too much trouble for her. Thank you.Product: Very nice, good quality and attractive.
Fragrance is very good for this diffuser refill, however excessive packaging for a plastic bottle, reeds and mini funnel. So an extra strong box for the items and then what appeared to be a standard over-sized box for the boxed items to be sent (and lots of plastic air bag protection in the box too). There must be a mor environmentally friendly way???
Service rating : The service that I have received was excellent. Even though the first order went lost and probably delivered to the wrong address The White Company investigated about this and sent me another piece so that now I am able to still have that I ordered.Product: I love this type of joggers from the white company and this is my 5th pair. The quality of the cashmere is really good.
Service rating : The items came in a ridiculous amount of packaging. I sent to the complaints department and have received no reply. Not impressed with that side of their customer service. maybe you need to be aware of the push towards greater ecological ethics.Product: Great quality
Service rating : Unfortunately the no old I bought was faulty and I was initially very disappointed. However Gemma and Sophie arranged for a replacement to be sent Nd the faulty one to be collected which was really refreshing and turned my experience around.Product: The mobile is lovely but as the 1st 1 delivered had a slight fault I cannot mark this as excellent.
Service rating : Parcel arrived promptly and was well packed. Glad that The White Company use cardboard and not plastic packaging but was such a large box- and then rather a lot of plastic bubble wrap to fill the space - really necessary for one cardigan?Product: Usual high quality
Good service, my only observation is the best X essi e packaging. In a time where we all should be more environmentally friendly and aware or unesessary waste I found the box, bubble wrap and tissue paper used to deliver this jumper way over the top!!!! Honestly. !!!
Personally it actually puts me off from ordering online again.
I bought two 250 ml bottles of products. They were securely wrapped in a bubblewrap cover which protected them well. So WHY were they then packed in a cardboard box measuring approximately 3ft by 2ft and filled up with a huge amount of plastic airpockets? The waste was shocking and I shall not order from this company again.
Service rating : I don’t think you make using gift voucher purchases as easy as it could be. I had 3 & had to phone customer services , which took ages & was told the vouchers could be used in 3hrs.. It actually took 24hrs.Product: Excellent quality & well built. Just one niggle ,I don’t like the fact you can see all the screw heads.. What a shame you don’t enclose screw covers.. ( even ikea does that!!) But overall very pleased with product...
Service rating : Struggled to find the PIN number on my gift card when ordering on line and ended up phoning - spoke to a very helpful lady but should be clear on the website where to fine the PIN number.
