It was exactly what we had hoped for - a family friendly, gorgeous farmhouse in an idyllic location. Jeff and Lynda create the perfect holiday setting with a real attention to detail, especially all the little things you need when you're on holidays with small children. The kids didn't want to leave!
The barn was a lovely and comfortable home for us to share, and the site had good amenities for the children which were well used throughout our stay.
Beautiful location, excellent facilities, overall fantastic
Thank you for the great welcome at 'Cosy Treat' - the basket of food was fabulous. The accommodation was perfect & we enjoyed our stay very much.
Thanks once again,
We have just spent a week in The Farmhouse on a holiday celebrating a special birthday and all our family met up there. The accommodation was first class, we loved the whole house, it had everything we needed to make the holiday great. The welcome basket was much appreciated and we liked all the extra touches that Lynda and Geoff provided. The log fires were a bonus and added to the cosy feeling we all enjoyed. The boys loved the outside play area and we all liked the play barn. Thank you Lynda and Geoff for helping to make our holiday in such a beautiful area, so enjoyable.
We have just returned from a very relaxing few days at The Stables. The cottage is very comfortable, warm (loved the wood burning stove) well equipped and clean and we really appreciated the Welcome Hamper, the robes and good quality towels. The Games Room was a bonus we hadn't expected. The owners were friendly and on-hand to help when we couldn't work out how to get the DVD player to work.
The cottage is peaceful and in a pretty valley right on the edge of the Forest of Dean. Ideally placed for walking - just head out of the door and off you go!
Easy booking procedure. Property and accomodation was as described on the website. Nice, very quiet and private location, with rural views. Facilities good, comfortable living room, lovely log burner. Smoke alarms very very sensitive. Good location with easy access to Forest of Dean highlights, and other areas. Would stay again.
We have a great 3 night stay at Brambles.
The apartment was spotless and very clean, and the furnishings were good quality. It was a lovely, cosy base to come back to after a long walk in the forest. We loved the generous welcome hamper filled with farm eggs, fresh bread, cider, wine and other goodies. The goods were all local produce, so we then went to visit the various farm shops and stocked up on more supplies!
The internet worked well - we could watch a film on Netflix with no interruptions.
Lynda and Geoff were welcoming and we would definitely recommend to friends and family.
Lynda was very kind and the house was very equipped. however the broken wifi and the lack of many tv channels were a failure to what was promised and paid for. It made it difficult to navigate an area for which there were no real maps provided, and the as the office was only open part time, we were unable to find locations that we needed to get to the whole first weekend and any time after 4.
Other than that the place was very comfortable and the owners very kinds.
This is the second holiday that we have had with Forest Barn Holidays- we were so pleased with the service and accomodation. We arrived early and Geoff let us in straight away. The welcome hamper was lovely and the accomodation was beautifully clean and had everything we wanted/needed. We love this part of the country and the location is perfect for walking and relaxing. We will be booking again for next year without a doubt. Thank you to Lynda and Geoff for your excellent service and hospitalilty.
Superb accommodation and a warm welcome!
Wonderful birthday weekend staying in Brambles cottage. Personal welcome from Geoff and a lovely hamper too. Would certainly recommend and definitely return. Thank you Lynda and Geoff.
We really enjoyed our stay. The cottages was well equipped, and the presence of ample hand soap, washing up liquid, bath gel etc... Was much appreciated. As was the offer of logs for the fire.
Stayed over Christmas (3 couples) and the cottage had everything (and more) that we could have asked for. The communal kitchen / lounge was perfect and actually looked slightly bigger in real life compared to the pictures on the website.
The welcome we received on arrival and the assistance thereafter was great. 11 out of 10!!!!
Had a wonderful stay with family and friends! Great place. Very clean also cosy...
Great, we wanted a relaxing break and that's exactly what we got
We had a lovely stay! Very cosy and did not want to leave by the end!
The surrounding area is beautiful and perfect for walking.
We would love to come back another time!
This is our 3rd time staying at one of Lynda and Geoffs barns, and we hope to return again soon so I guess that says it all. Location and surroundings is prefect.
Lovely little cottage in tranquil surroundings. Perfection.
Lynda and Geoff are extremely friendly and warm hosts. Nothing is too much trouble. They are clearly passionate about their business and their enthusiasm is infectious. We booked the beautiful charming farmhouse for a family celebration of 9 people over 4 nights. The place was a home from home cheered by the log fires. The surrounding area is wonderful peaceful countryside but with easy access to plenty of attractions. We recommend Gloucester Cathedral for beautiful architecture and The Saracens Head Symonds Yat for fabulous location and superb food , beers and welcome. We had 3 small dogs with us and Lynda set up the house perfectly to accommodate them which added so much to our great experience. Thank you Lynda and Geoff.
Our second visit - just as good as the first.
Very stylish and comfortable accommodation - and a great base for family days out.
Lovely place shame about the flies, they did soil the place
Efficient booking initially and a wonderful cottage that was perfect for our family. Spotlessly clean and facilities as advised. Lovely welcome hamper that was very much appreciated on arrival. I would have no hesitation in recommending to friends and family.
