Sale went through on line then declined card, and told me by letter. Took over a week to despatch the item once payment was remade, without being told. Postage charges Extortionate. Wont use again!

When we receive and process an order the credit card details supplied are used to authorise a transaction. As such the details you entered for payment were not authorised by your bank. To enable us to rectify this for you as soon as possible a customer service agent from Clifford James emailed and posted a letter to inform you of this problem. In the email we suggested you contact us by phone to correct the information we had as sending credit card information by email is not a secure method. Unfortunately, when you called to correct your card detail we had just commenced our annual stock take which prevents any orders being despatched during this 7 day period ; thus delaying your order.
I am sorry that you are unhappy with the small postage charge of £4.95. This charge remains the same whether you purchase one or several items. It also covers our free returns service; we are one of the very few companies in the industry to do so.
